What I am running on
Happy Valley is one of Oregon's fastest-growing communities. Growth brings opportunity, but it also requires thoughtful planning and responsible leadership. My priorities are centered on protecting the quality of life our residents value while preparing our city for the future.

Thoughtful Growth and Long-Term Planning
Happy Valley is projected to grow 3-4% in the next five years. Growth is inevitable, but how we grow is our choice. As Happy Valley continues to welcome new families and businesses, we must balance new opportunities with the values that define our community. That means planning for housing, transportation, utilities, parks, schools, and public safety before growth occurs—not after. By investing wisely and planning for the long term, we can protect our neighborhoods while building a stronger Happy Valley for future generations.
Improving Transportation and Mobility
Traffic is one of the issues residents mention most often. We need practical, long-term solutions that improve safety in our neighborhoods, reduce congestion on Sunnyside Rd, and arterial streets where possible, and provide transportation infrastructure that keeps pace with growth. Planning ahead today helps avoid larger challenges tomorrow.
Supporting a Strong Local Economy
A healthy economy is one where entrepreneurs and locally owned businesses thrive. One of the most exciting opportunities before us is the continued development of Happy Valley's Main Street. The vision for that is a vibrant, walkable destination that reflects the unique character of our community—a place where neighbors gather, families enjoy community events, local businesses flourish, and visitors experience the best of Happy Valley.
Fiscal Responsibility
Every public dollar represents the trust of our residents. I heard loud and clear from residents that the rise of taxes along with the general cost of living is not sustainable. I believe in transparent budgeting, thoughtful long-term financial planning, and investing in projects that deliver lasting value to our community.
A Community Where Everyone Belongs
One of Happy Valley's greatest strengths is its people. Families from many backgrounds have chosen to make this city their home, bringing new ideas, traditions, and experiences that enrich our community.
I believe we should continue creating opportunities for residents of all backgrounds to participate in civic life, volunteer, serve on advisory boards and commissions, and celebrate the cultures that make Happy Valley a welcoming place to live.
Housing That Supports Our Community
Happy Valley has worked hard to meet state housing requirements while preserving neighborhood character. I want to direct new housing to areas with existing infrastructure and services, maintain our strong Happy Valley design standards, and tree preservation. I will ensure transparent planning so residents understand what’s coming and why.
